[jitsi-users] Audio out device disabling itself

#1

On the latest version I keep getting that my Audio Out device gets set to
None for no apparent reason. It happens randomly (it seems) and I can't
change it back - I have to quit Jitsi completely, reopen it and set it to
my audio device.

Using jitsi 2.2.4603.9615 stable, Windows 8.1, NVidia High Definition Audio
out over HDMI passed through monitor. System set to port audio.

I'm switching to WASAPI to see if that resolves the issue. Regardless, I
though I'd notify the users so it can eventually be logged as a bug or if
someone has a fix I can try that is known to work?

Port Audio and current settings worked without issues on previous version.

Thanks
Ruaan

Hello Ruaan,

If I remember correctly, when changed automatically to "None" when no devices are detected and have to go back to the originate audio system when at least one device become available.

Thus, do you have any available device when the HDMI cable is disconnected?

Does the problem occurs when you plug/unplug the HDMI cable, start/stop/sleep/unsleep your computer or start/stop your monitor?

Anyway, logs [0] might be helpful.

Regards,
Vincent
