hello,
about nightly builds on debian jessie:
I manualy created
cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jitsi.list
deb http://download.jitsi.org/nightly/deb unstable/
and after installing jitsi 2.5.5211-1
the jitsi.list looks like:
### THIS FILE IS AUTOMATICALLY CONFIGURED ###
# You may comment out this entry, but any other modifications may be lost.
deb http://download.jitsi.org/deb unstable/
so, the "nightly" got removed, preventing updates.
cheers,
günter
Hi,
this is normal for current release process. It just gets one of the
nightlies and use it as stable, so nightlies behave as stable.
You need to add setting that jitsi will not override. You can create
the file with name: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jitsi-nightly.list
and it should work.
Cheers

yes true, but since one shoud *NOT* switch between nightlies and stable, this is a source of failure by design.
and since I found no comments, notes, hint, etc. in a README, I consider this a bug.

I don't get this. You can switch from stable to nightly and from nightly to
stable.
and since I found no comments, notes, hint, etc. in a README, I consider
this a bug.
There is a note on the download page, next to nightlies download link.
