[jitsi-users] Any Jitsi XMPP flow document?

#1

Hi all,

Is there any good document or page about the XMPP message flow among different Jitsi components (Prosody, Jitsi-Meet, Jicofo, JVB and/or Jigasi)?

Thanks,

Hi,

The communication between jicofo and jvb is using COLIBRI
(http://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0340.html). Meet, Jigasi and Jicofo
all use a muc(http://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0045.html) to join and
communicate with each other, calls are using
jingle(http://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0166.html) messages.

If you want to take a look at a sample communication, open two tabs in
one room and on one of the tabs open the js console and execute
APP.conference.saveLogs();.
This will download a json file that contains all the xmpp messages
encapsulated in bosh messages and all that is exchanged between the
client and the server.
Hope this helps.

Sunny,

In /etc/jitsi/jicofo/logging.properties,

# uncomment to see how Jicofo talks to the JVB
org.jitsi.impl.protocol.xmpp.colibri.level=ALL

This is very helpful to understand the XMPP messages between jicofo and jvb.
