[jitsi-users] Add PTT?

#1

Would it be possible to add a 'push-to-talk' option to jitsi-meet? The function would mute audio out and simultaneously unmute the mic.
Perhaps by pushing and holding down the 'Space key' (perhaps user definable in config file). This would allow casual users of a conference to be able to avoid feedback issues without the use of headsets? Thanks, jms

Note that we already have a "push-to-talk" option, mapped to the space bar, but it doesn't stop the playback of remote audio. We find that browsers' echo cancellation works quite well.

That should be possible. In fact we are using a similar thing for the collaborative YouTube video watching. We have no plans to integrate this functionality in the main conference though.
