Jitsi Server Specifications

Hello, I need to host 10 simultaneous chat rooms with 15 people in each one. Is my Digital Ocean 4CPU 8GB RAM server enough? If not, whats the better way to achieve this?

Tks

Ok, firstly i need to suggest you follow this discussion that close to your number of 100 participants first.

So, 150 participant will need larger specification. My least suggestion: 8 vCPU, 8-16GB RAMs, but with minimum 40 GBps network speed. DigitalOcean did not disclose openly their network speed, so it is better for you to urge them to answer it coz it seem it has been a-3 years question never been addressed. Once you got answered, do please let me know. OK.

Tweak on this parameter: ( you need to survey in this community on how)
here : /etc/jitsi/meet/*-config.js
simulcast: ON, ChannelLastN: 10, disableAudioLevels: True, DISABLE_VIDEO_BACKGROUND: true, enableLayerSuspension: true
set resolution: 480 , ideal: 480, max: 480 , disableH264: true

Use at least 3 JVB2 at A different server of 8 vCPU, 8-16GB RAMs as suggested here.

Then you get at least 150-200 user at once.

(I havent discussed about another server of JIBRI’s for recorder yet)
