Jitsi meet to obs

I am using a Linux arch with obs
I am using jitsi in browser (chromium or Firefox )

obs has a browser source but when I put the meet.jit.si/roomname to the browser source it only shows to front page of the meeting(even when participants are already live)

How can I record the meeting

  • on the machine with or without obs?
is it possible to record only audio - on the machine??

Thank you

I didn’t test it but ffmpeg should work

ffmpeg -f pulse -ac 2 -i default myaudio.m4a

Hi,
Thank you - it works.

edit

is there a way to capture the video??

You may use x11grab as input format to record the whole screen. Something like

ffmpeg -f x11grab -draw_mouse 0 -r 30 -s 1280x720 -thread_queue_size 4096 -i :0.0+0,0 \
  -f pulse -ac 2 -i default \
  -c:v libx264 -preset veryfast -pix_fmt yuv420p -r 30 -crf 25 -g 60 \
  -c:a aac -strict -2 -ar 44100 -b:a 128k -af aresample=async=1 \
  -y capture.mp4

Wow - fantastic.
I will try it in the next few days.
Many many thanks
