Jitsi-meet does not work properly after install

I’ve only followed quick install manual from github.
When I’m trying to get web page from local network - it appears, but if second person will try to join the room he only will see “You have been disconnected. You may want to check your network connection. Reconnecting in 5 sec…”.

Also web page is not accessible from outside of local network by url. Only message “You have been disconnected…” appears.

Also when I’m trying to get page by external IP I also can see main page and create room, but if second person joining this room - for this time room creator will be the one who will see “You have been disconnected.” message

SSL cert and key generated properly.

Neither jicofo, neither the bridge are running, as you can see.
My recommendation is to use the quick install method and not try using the manual not recommended method.

Thank you for responding.

Both services are running, but users cant use conference rooms.
Used “quick install” guide.

Can you check which java version you have installed? The output of $ java -version, should be java-8.

openjdk 10.0.2 2018-07-17
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 10.0.2+13-Ubuntu-1ubuntu0.18.04.4)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 10.0.2+13-Ubuntu-1ubuntu0.18.04.4, mixed mode)

Can you switch to java8 and try again, just restarting the services? This should fix it.

Hello,

Quick install method does not work after install on Debian 9 fresh install.

Jitsi-meet needs nginx?

Hi everybody,
I have the same problem, I have reinstalled Jitsi many times and I always get stuck here.
Btw, how do i check the jicofo status and how do I obtain the same logs posted by babrums?
I tried switching to java 8 but the installer was outdated and doesn’t this seem illogical to downgrade the java version?

Thanks in advance

System Info

From VMware Workstation hosting in the enterprise network
OS: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
Kernel: Linux 4.15.0-55-generic
Architecture: x86_64

systemctl status jicofo

Does this mean that the quick install procedure from github does not ensure that the desired java version is installed on the target system?
