Jitsi meet customizations

@damencho @bbaldino:

Hi This is my code:

    <script src="https://meet.jit.si/external_api.js"></script>
    <script>
        var userName = '{{uName}}';
        var meetingRoomName = '{{jClsName}}';
        // Call APi an dget full user details here
            var domain = "3.16.104.237";
            var options = {
                roomName: meetingRoomName,
                width: 1000,
                height: 700,
                parent: undefined,
                configOverwrite: {},
                interfaceConfigOverwrite: {
                    filmStripOnly: false
                }
            }

            var api = new JitsiMeetExternalAPI(domain, options);
            api.executeCommand('displayName', userName);

    </script>

Actually I want to show video of my live streaming through YouTube and OBS and Chat only should be display from Jitsi.

Is that possible like we can load chat only of Jitsi and display video from youtube live link in place of Jisti conference.

@damencho @bbaldino: Any thought on above?

#3

No, you cannot load only chat from jitsi-meet, it comes with the videos of the participants.

#4

Can I list out all attendees of conference, Is there any function to get all the users those are attending any conference.

#5

There is a prosody module, which can provide such information when enabled:

It is queried by http requests and is returning json with the data.

#6

Is there any example code or documentation where I can see how can I call this in my code ?

@damencho

How can I use external API for jitsi meet Event listener so that I can get the desired result as mentioned in documents:

Like:

api.addEventListener(‘participantJoined’ , function(){
alert(“calleddddddddddd”);
});
Its working fine and alert the passed vlaue but when I passed result as below
api.addEventListener(‘participantJoined’ , function(rslt){
alert(rslt);
});

Its stopped working.

  • participantJoined - event notifications about new participants who join the room. The listener will receive an object with the following structure:

But as per documentation it should return:

{
“id”: id, // the id of the participant
“displayName”: displayName // the display name of the participant
}

Could you please assist me write one event Listener how can we use them to get desired response.

In what way did it stop working? Do you not get the alert? I assume the alert would display but wouldn’t show you the fields because you’re trying to display an object in the alert.
