Jitsi Installation

Hey Guys. I’m already with this installation, but I have the next error!
Screen Shot 2020-06-10 at 15.51.20|690x282 . I did the test in some devices like. Phone, notebook

My app is over debian 10. I thank any help can give me.

Best Regards.

What are the outputs?

host your.domain.com
curl ifconfig.me
grep -v PASSWORD /etc/jitsi/videobridge/sip-communicator.properties

And does UDP/10000 open to the public?

host salas.hardbox.cl
salas.hardbox.cl has address 35.229.116.122

curl ifconfig.me
35.229.116.122root@salas:~#

org.jitsi.impl.neomedia.transform.srtp.SRTPCryptoContext.checkReplay=false

The videobridge uses 443 by default with 4443 as a fallback, but since we’re already

running nginx on 443 in this example doc, we specify 4443 manually to avoid a race condition

org.jitsi.videobridge.TCP_HARVESTER_PORT=4443
org.ice4j.ice.harvest.NAT_HARVESTER_LOCAL_ADDRESS=10.142.0.12
org.ice4j.ice.harvest.NAT_HARVESTER_PUBLIC_ADDRESS=35.229.116.122

About udp/10000 I have the rule in my firewall, but when I did nmap, I can’t see it.

nmap -Pn localhost
Starting Nmap 7.70 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2020-06-10 16:21 -04
Nmap scan report for localhost (127.0.0.1)
Host is up (0.000011s latency).
Other addresses for localhost (not scanned): ::1
Not shown: 993 closed ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
22/tcp open ssh
80/tcp open http
443/tcp open https
5222/tcp open xmpp-client
5269/tcp open xmpp-server
5280/tcp open xmpp-bosh
8888/tcp open sun-answerbook

UDP/10000 seems OK

The sip-communicator.properties file on my newly installated Jitsi like the following:

org.ice4j.ice.harvest.DISABLE_AWS_HARVESTER=true
org.ice4j.ice.harvest.STUN_MAPPING_HARVESTER_ADDRESSES=meet-jit-si-turnrelay.jitsi.net:443
org.jitsi.videobridge.ENABLE_STATISTICS=true
org.jitsi.videobridge.STATISTICS_TRANSPORT=muc
org.jitsi.videobridge.xmpp.user.shard.HOSTNAME=localhost
org.jitsi.videobridge.xmpp.user.shard.DOMAIN=auth.my.domain.com
org.jitsi.videobridge.xmpp.user.shard.USERNAME=jvb
org.jitsi.videobridge.xmpp.user.shard.PASSWORD=MYPASSWORD

Did you follow an old installation document?

I followed this link https://jitsi.github.io/handbook/docs/devops-guide/devops-guide-manual

If there is no special reason to apply this guide, try to install it as described in https://jitsi.github.io/handbook/docs/devops-guide/devops-guide-quickstart

As an alternative, you can check out my guide too

Ohh,ohh. Should I do the installation again?. Can I fix this issue?

The guide you applied is old, it doesn’t install the up-to-date packages. For example it doesn’t install the video-bridge2 package, it install the video-bridge package (the old one)

I suggest you to install again. probably you will get faster and better results.

Ok. Sure! Thank you very much! :smile:

Hi Emrah! I read your guide. I didn’t see the prosody server, Is it not necessary now?

Because of dependencies, prosody is installed automaticly when jitsi-meet is installed. It’s necessary.

Thank you very much Emrah. I’m ready with the installation. The app is working!
