[jitsi-dev] zrtp security

#1

hi all,

can someone tell me please the exact names
of the public keys in ZRTP?

options --> Security --> call --> ZRTP

EC25
DH3K
EC38
DH2k
MULT

i suppose it will mean: DH3k --> diffihellman 3078bit key?
Are these Keys do only the Keyexchange for the symmteric key. So they
are independent of
the private keys?

So that mean i can choose any one of these PublicKeys with anyone of the private keys?

thanks

Actually there are no public or private keys in the sense like RSA uses it, for example
in GPG.

The sizes (with the exception of MULT) defines the number of bits the Diffie-Helman
key exchange algorithm uses. After key negotiation ZRTP discrads these values. ZRTP
uses the computed shared seceret as input to several KDF rounds to generate the
symmetric keys for SRTP and other usage. After the KDFs ZRTP deletes the shared
secrete and after the phone and/or video call is over it also deletes any of the
computed symmetric keys. Thus the users never know the keys.
