[jitsi-dev] XMPP - New groups will not show up

#1

My system:
- Ubuntu 10.04 64bit,
- Intel i5 CPU, 4GB Ram
- Sun Java package
- SIP-Communicator build: 3318
- Network: XMPP

···

---

Dear list,

when i add a new group ("right click" in empty contactlist-space or via
the "File" menu), the new group will not show up in my roster even when
i restart the sip-communicator.

When i try it again with the same name it says (roughly translated from
german): "The group already exists. Please use a different name"

Somebody else with this issue?

Thx
Ben

yes, similar appeared on my windows system (WinXP SP3), here only deinstallation/reinstallation solved this issue.
in windows the jabber accounts are kept, however the SIP accounts have to be created newly

Ok, i was clever enough not to uncheck the "Show inactive accounts"
With build 3323 i am now able to see them when i display all my accounts
(including the inactive ones).
As an improvement i suggest that new groups should always show up (until
next startup), even when i am not displaying the inactive users so i can
put some new users into them.

However after deleting a group i have to reload the contactlist via
"Show inactive accounts" in order to get them out of it.
