[jitsi-dev] XMPP connection problems using nb5530 on MacOS 10.8.5

#1

Dear Devs,

updating to nb5530 prevents two of my four xmpp accounts not able to
connect: jabbim.com and jabber.ccc.de

(jit.si and talk.google.com connect normal; also 4 SIP accounts connect
normal).

installing again nb5529 reverts all connection problems. what can I do?
I suspect something with the certificate (?)

kind regards, MS

Both of these domains are served with certificates from CACert. CACert's root CA is signed with MD5withRSA, which has been completely disabled in Java since 8u91. It won't be coming back.

Nothing on the client side. Maybe get in touch with these providers and convince them that using a CACert certificate isn't a good thing to do. You probably noticed that you got a certificate warning when connecting to them. This is because they're still not trusted by Java (nor by Windows nor Debian - and likely not by OSX either).

I suspect something with the certificate (?)
