[jitsi-dev] What's the HARDWARE requirements on server side?

#1

I am thinking to host Jitsi Meet at an IAAS, such as Amazon.

The first thing I need to know is the HARDWARE requirements? There is an
introduction on software ones already.

Different hardware means different cost. Recently, the server will be used
for testing only.

Can you clarify in document or here?

Thank you,

Ying

Hi Ying,

Hardware requirements for the Jitsi-Meet server are very low. 1GB of memory
and 1 CPU core should be enough if you you Linux.

More important is the Amazon region that you use, it's best to use a region
close to your participants.

Cheers,

Peter
