Hi,

Does anybody here have any experience with connecting Jitsi Videobridge to jabberd2?

Do I understand correctly that it should work without any problem thanks to Jabber's component architecture right?

Cheers,
Richard

Hi,

nice overview. Wasn't aware of this.
How would the integration with ejabberd work?
Did anyone test this?

Cheers,
Matt

Hey Pavel,

It looks great.

I have a very minor suggestion..I think it would look even better if we center the screenshots.

Cheers,
Yana

Yes that is correct. You should be able to connect it to any server.

Hey Pavel,

Hello developers,

Please, take a look at the web page for Jitsi Videobridge:
https://jitsi.org/Projects/JitsiVideobridge

Looks nice! Good job!

A few quick comments:

* Could you please move the Openfire section on a separate page
* Minor: can we have all features in caps?
* Still need to place the Colibri icon on the page. (Please remind me to
send you a presentation of how Colibri works)
* In the shell scripts could we please have the xmppHost appear before
the port?

* Could we please change the usage for the shell scripts to:
    secret [xmppHost] [xmppHostPort] [minMediaPort] [maxMediaPort]

secret: the password required to authenticate with the XMPP server
xmppHost: the address of the XMPP server that Jitsi Videobridge
should connect to
port: the port of the XMPP server that Jitsi Videobridge should
connect to
minMediaPort: the lowest port number that Jitsi Videobridge can use
when allocating channels for conference participants
maxMediaPort: the highest port number that Jitsi Videobridge can use
when allocating channels for conference participants

I believe this is all from me for now

Thanks for doing this!

Emil

Ejabberd is a Jabber/XMPP instant messaging server, and as such Jitsi Videobridge should be able to work with it. Try it and let us know.

We tested this and some minor modifications were needed to make it work.
Documentation will be coming up soon, but until then: if you want to use
videobridge with ejabberd, use on of the latest builds and make sure to set
the '--domain' option properly.
