[jitsi-dev] want to add on-screen timer (clock) to jitsi-meet

#1

Hi,

I'm going to add an on-screen timer to Jitsi-meet so people can see how
long they have been talking. It has been mentioned before but was never
built afaik. I would like to see the result integrated in the project so
other people can use it too. Any tips on how to build this in a way it gets
accepted?

Here is what I think it should look like: http://imgur.com/EMxYMEY - it
shows minutes and hours in a separate black bar that has the same shape as
the main toolbar. Administrators can turn the counter on and off with a
setting in /usr/share/jitsi-meet/interface_config.js. The default is off.
It stays visible during the whole meeting, no auto-hiding. The counter is
client-side so it starts counting when the users joins a meeting.

Thanks,

Peter
