DataSource.java files have particular heights/widths of video windows.
static final int DEFAULT_WIDTH = 640;
static final int DEFAULT_HEIGHT = 480;
These are defaults for the particular CaptureDevice/DataSource
implementations in case nothing related to resolutions turns out to be
specified and, generally, they should not force anything.
but by changing these value does not effect on size. Then I thought values
could be derived from native codes.
To my knowledge, the current native implementations of
CaptureDevice/DataSource do not always manage to get a list of
Could anyone help me to find out how to reduce the resolution of video
windows lets say 320/240.
Well, you should be able to find the exact piece of code which forces
the resolution by searching for the string "640" in
src\net\java\sip\communicator\impl\neomedia. If I'm not mistaken, it
should be net.java.sip.communicator.impl.neomedia.device.VideoMediaDeviceSession#createCaptureDevice()
which calls VideoMediaStreamImpl#selectVideoSize().
