[jitsi-dev] Video and audio doesn't work in Firefox Version 59 - Cannot find SSRC for RTX

#1

Dear Team,

I have installed Jitsi-meet, Jicofo and JVB in 3 different server.
Everything works perfectly in Chrome but not Firefox V59. I can't send
video and audio from to another user, whatever they're using Chrome or
Firefox. The log on firefox client is:
*XML Parsing Error: not well-formed Location: Line Number 1, Column 153JVB
2018-04-27 15:07:53.521 WARNING: [671] *

The log on Jitsi-video bridge is:
*org.jitsi.impl.neomedia.transform.RtxTransformer.log() Cannot find SSRC
for RTX, retransmitting plain. SSRC=625439357*

Right now, I'm using Jitsi-meet, Jicofo and JVB version 2519 for all. Can
you tell me how can I fix it.

Thank you so much.

Thank for replying Martin, can you please tell more how to fix it more
specifically.

Hi,

Thank you for the report. The XML parsing error that you’re getting is harmless. I don’t remember exactly where its coming from, I have a vague memory it’s coming from XUL or from Strophe, but I’m no longer sure. Regardless, we’ve had that for years and it hasn’t been a problem.

The JVB warning should probably NOT be a warning, because Firefox doesn’t support RTX, so it’s normal that the bridge can’t find an SSRC for it.

There must be something else that’s broken in your environment. Is it a Firefox to Firefox call? Could you please post the full console logs and the contents of about:webrtc? <about:webrtc?>

Thank you,
George

Err, find the XML file it is complaining about. Fix the line endings to be
appropriate for the operating system you are using. (Assuming that *is*
the problem)

Hi George,

Yes, it's firefox to firefox call. User on firefox can receive video and
audio from chrome user but can't send video and audio to other users in
conference.

Where can I find the log of "about:webrtc"? Here is some log from the
console on firefox:

No, sorry I can't. I just took a wild guess based on the error message you
sent (and that 153 characters is quite long).
