[jitsi-dev] Tool to check if media is flowing between two end points in JVB

#1

Hi all,

I am wondering if there is any way or tool to check if media is flowing
between two end points in JVB, we are doing load testing on JVB, this would
be very helpful.

For example assume we know the SSRCs for two peers, the tool can report if
JVB is forwarding media between these two peers.

If there is no such way at this moment, can you shed some light on how to
implement this feature in JVB?

Thanks,

/Kaiduan

Hi Kaiduan,

If it’s just for debugging you could use something like this (I haven’t tried it, you may have to tweak it a bit):

    tshark -d udp.port==10000,rtp -f "rtp.ssrc==1 or rtp.ssrc==2”

Another way would be to add logs in the output transform chain and then somehow parse those.

Let us know if any of these two methods help or if you had something else in mind.

Best,
George
