[jitsi-dev] Testing speech-to-text

#1

Hi, Jitsi team!

I'm testing Jigasi's speech-to-text feature. For that I was reading the
documentation in the repo of Github and installed the Google Cloud SDK.

At the moment I did not add any variables in
/etc/jitsi/jigasi/sip-communicator.properties, so the default values are
being used.

The documentation says "A valid XMPP account must also be set to make
Jigasi be able to join a conference room". What do you mean by "a valid
XMPP account"? Do I have to do some additional configuration?

When I'm going to dial I write "jitsi_meet_transcribe", but I get
"Please enter a phone number" as if it did not recognize the string (I'm
using Jitsi Meet from the unstable repo). I'm not sure if this is
because I'm missing to make some additional configuration (maybe the
mentioned in the previous paragraph).

Some advise is very appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Daniel

It's just the jitsi-meet UI that tries to verify the number. Invite it by executing this in the JS console:
APP.conference._room.dial("jitsi_meet_transcribe")

Hi, Boris.

It's just the jitsi-meet UI that tries to verify the number. Invite it
by executing this in the JS console:
APP.conference._room.dial("jitsi_meet_transcribe")

I get this output in the JS console:

-----------------------------------------------------------------
APP.conference._room.dial("jitsi_meet_transcribe")
Promise {<pending>}
__proto__: Promise
[[PromiseStatus]]: "resolved"
[[PromiseValue]]: undefined
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for your time.

Kind regards,
Daniel
