[jitsi-dev] Suspend/resume, Jitsi and SIP issues

#1

Hello,

I have some issues with Jitsi that seem to related to susend/resume. I
use Debian Wheezy 32-bit and xfce 4.8.
I have a SIP account configured with a Trixbox (Asterisk) server and i
have configured a registrarless SIP account.
The issues:

If i start Jitsi all works well. But after a suspend/resume cycle the
users from the contact list for the SIP account (the one with the
server)are shown all offline - logging on/off the account doesnt help.
But if i "reset" the account (i mean i untick then i tick again its
checkbox in the users config panel) all returns to normal for this
account.

The registrarless account: this is worse - after resuming, the java
process starts using 100%, the tray icon flickers and the UI is very
slow to respond to clicks. This happens ONLY with registrarless SIP
account configured and after a resume. No specific output in the logs.
Only restarting Jitsi helps here.

SIP issue - encryption doesnt work with registrarless SIP accounts -
if zrtp or sdes are enabled (on both computers), the call hangs at
"connecting". Disabling the encryption works with no issues.

Anyone can confirm the above?

Hey Kertesz,

Could you please open tickets for these two?

Thanks!

Hi Kertesz,

are you still experiencing the issue, does it happen every time you
resume your PC or from time to time? I've just tested it with a
registerless account and an account connected to asterisk and
subscribed to presences (contacts added to the asterisk registered
account). Statuses are correctly presented after resuming and there is
no cpu usage problem.
Can you send us (or to me) the logs when the problem occurs.
When using registerless account I have no problem establishing zrtp or
sdes calls. When you have a problem with it logs will be also useful.

Thanks
damencho
