[jitsi-dev] Support for XEP-0280 in jitsi

#1

Hi,
   regarding XMPP, jitsi doesn't support
the extension "XEP-0280: Message Carbons".

I find this feature very useful because
I log in from different devices with the
same account and I would like not to miss
messages.

Also the Smack library already supports
the extension.

Is there a reason for jitsi not using
this feature?

Thanks.

Leonardo.

I thought that was pulled off. Did they bring it back in? I am not sure whether it's in Openfire either.

Is there a reason for jitsi not using
this feature?

Yes. No one has implemented it ;).

I am very much in favor of it though. Especially if it also gets adoption in more servers.

Please make a patch...or whatever...to have this implemented!!!  I
very much would love this feature.

Thanks,
