[jitsi-dev] Start recording on demand without JireconRecorder

#1

Hi,

We are trying to enable recording when a user joins the conference by
setting enableRecording in conference config and using toggleRecording on
the JitsiConference.

My question is: will this work and propagate to JVB so recording is enabled
on the conference.
By looking at jicofo code, it seems it may require a jirecon recording to
work. Jirecon feature needs to be off in our case.

Both jirecon and the recording in JVB have been deprecated. I seem to remember a bug a long time ago which caused a failure to enabled the recording in JVB if it was started together with the initialization of the conference, but it's not something we will be working to fix.
