I've just tried to reproduce this and didn't succeed. What I've done
is that I tried to create a sip account without checking "remember
password", but I've entered one and when I click "Add" or "Sign In"
(depending the wizard which I use: simple or advanced) the account is
created and I'm asked for password. If I enter one without again
checking "remember password" the account goes to Online. And if I
restart, on next start I got again prompt for entering password. And
this all works for me.
Is this what you test or I misunderstood something?
Can you give more details reproducing the problem you see? And some
more details about java version and OS you are using?

We are testing the last build 3295 and we have problem with the option
"remember password" on SIP account.
When option is unchecked in the account creation, the password is even so
registered and in the subsequent login (close and restart sip-communicator)
no password is requested.
The login is anyway performed and the option "remember password" results
checked in account details window.
