[jitsi-dev] REST Videobridge

#1

Hi. Please help me. I am trying to connect to Jitsi Videobridge using
libjingle_peerconnection library. I want to use it without Jabber, only
using REST.

As described in
https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-videobridge/blob/master/doc/rest-videobridge.md
i was sent the "PATCH" request and received correct response.

Next step should be:
"1. We take that response and translate it into SDP to create an offer for
the new client".

Which information i should use to create SDP?

As i understand i can use "ip", "port" and "protocol" fields as TURN
configuration (in the channel-bundles->transport->candidates) ?

Thnx.

you'll need to create an offer for your clients with a combination of the
information you receive in the patch response from the bridge and likely
some hard-coded information you'll fill on based on your service. i'd take
a look at a standard sdp offer, then see which of those fields you already
get from the bridge's response; the rest you'll need to create on your
own, and will likely vary a bit from application to application. for
example, the bridge doesn't care which audio and video codecs you use,
you'll want to decide on your own which ones you want your service to
support based on what the clients you plan on supporting are capable of.
