#1

Hello,

Resending just in case that there has been any new development since I
asked last.

thanks

Hello,

We have had some problems with meet.jit.si that are probably related to
focus instabilities (people in the same room aren't able to communicate
with each other). According to Emil this is likely to be fixed with new
server-side focus.

Are there any specific plans to work on the focus in near future? We
will be soon making a decision on whether or not to prolong webex
license (which we would happily dump) and we would include eventual
plans on Jitmeet focus development among our considerations.

thanks

Hi,

I see there was active work by @fippo at mod_muc_focus
<https://github.com/otalk/mod_muc_focus>, and also am wondering whether
this component can be used for jitsi-meet.

Regards,
Zalmoxisus

We are nearly there:

We should be deploying this on beta this week.

Not without changes. It uses a slightly different presence format for announcing streams instead of SSRCs.

That issue might be resolved next month in Paris, depending on the amount of beer Emil and I get at the hotel bar.

What will help to get it done? Less beer or more beer?

Thanks Emil, great news. Please let us know once this change is
implemented on meet.jit.si and we will test again in a bigger
distributed group.
