[jitsi-dev] Replacing self-signed certs

#1

Hi,

I have jitsi meet deployed on an Ubuntu VM with self-signed certs. I just
got signed certs from GoDaddy. Is there any way I can replace the
self-signed ones?

Is there any way to completely uninstall Jitsi meet so that it will ask me
for new certs when the quick install is installing prosody? So far it
reloads settings from the first install.

Thanks,

Aamoy

Hi,

Just adding the new certs, the procedure depends whether you are using
jetty inside jvb to server meet or nginx or apache. The script of
handling this is here:
https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/debian/jitsi-meet-web-config.postinst

To completely remove everything I suggest "apt-get --purge remove
jitsi-videobridge jicofo jitsi-meet-web jitsi-meet-web-config
jitsi-meet-prosody" if it fails for some reason you can run the
command several times and when it succeed make sure there is no
/etc/jitsi folder and then you are ready to install again.

Hope this helps.
