[jitsi-dev] Real Instalation steps

#1

i have tried all your procedure over ubuntu and debian with all arch's as
well none of them worked as expected

https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/INSTALL.md >> the procedure
got missing steps and dependencies on the prosody and on the video bridge
steps, the: ./jvb.sh is no in the server after install, cant execut the
bridge as well.

https://github.com/turint/jitsi-meet/blob/master/doc/quick-install.md >>
ended with a lot of error installing packages from de repo with prosody,
seems missing dependencies too

is there any good procedure to get this working ? a very good explained one
?

Hi,

these are the instructions:
https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/doc/quick-install.md

If there is a problem report it, so we can fix it. We use those
instructions to install jitsi-meet and I can say it works just fine.
There can be some issues, but we are doing our best to fix them.

Please do not cross post to multiple mailinglists, sending mail to one
of the is enough, thanks.

Regards
damencho

Hi,

did you follow this step?
wget https://download.jitsi.org/jitsi-videobridge/linux/jitsi-videobridge-linux-{arch-buildnum}.zip
unzip jitsi-videobridge-linux-{arch-buildnum}.zip

If you cd to jitsi-videobridge-linux-{arch-buildnum} you should see the jvb script.

What errors did you encounter when trying to install the debian package? I’ve only used the manual installation, though, which worked fine.
