[jitsi-dev] Re: Outlook contacts group

Concerning the Outlook group which is automatically created if you have
Oulook (I presume), wouldn’t it be possible to make it optional or at least
informa the user that a group will be automatically created if Outlook is
installed?

"Microsoft Outlook" is not a persistent group, it only appears while
you're searching via the field at the top of the contact list in order
to visually group the contacts found in Microsoft Outook (and, of
course, it doesn't appear if there are no matches). That's why I don't
quite understand why it bothers you. Could you please elaborate?
]

If a contact in Oulook hasn’t got a name but only a Company information, the
contact appears as “unknown” in the SC outlook group. I suggest that if a
name is not found but if a company information exist, then the contact in C
is named with the company name.

Thank you for the report! Could I please ask you to create an issue in
our tracker?

That's right. The problem may come because my group is not visible in the
GUI (object of another post on the list). It is only when I enter a
character in the input that I see all the groups (my group, outlook and
history). Since outlook is not a 'normal' group (I consider history is a
normal group), I have asked myself why this group was present... An
information during installation (for example or in the Options panel) saying
the reason why this group is automatically added would have helped me.
