Hey Vincent,

When I run Jitsi from source, I get a start-up notification which says "Jitsi" and "http://jitsi.org". Is that intentional?

trunk/resources/install/macosx/libgrowl4j.dylib

The library libgrowl4j.dylib loses roughly 400 bytes if I strip it using "strip -x". Is the version in SVN stripped as well or did you rather find problems caused by the stripping?

Best regards,
Lyubomir

It is not intentional. I had only updated the growl framework and did not change any part of growl4j code, or its use by Jitsi.

If think this message comes from the registration to the growl framework.

Thank you for the hint, I did not know this command until now. There seems to be no problem with stripping this library (done with commit #9781).

Best regards,
Vincent

We've actually always had that with the growl notifications but it
would only show if you've had growl installed. Then it stopped working
completely on mountain lion. Now Chenzo fixed it and given that the
new lib also works without a growl installation, it would always show.

Emil and Vincent, thank you very much for the prompt explanations!

This notification seems unorthodox to me. Is it common with
Growl-enabled applications?

I don't think so ... we were just so happy to have growl support back
then that we felt like crying it out on the roof tops. Feel free to
remove it. I believe it's just a line in the activator.
