[jitsi-dev] Question: Provisioning

#1

Hi,

I have a provisioning server set up, and DHCP is working. My issue is that i can't see a way to deploy Jitsi with the DHCP provisioning option turned on. At the moment, every time a user logs into the machine for the first time they need to enable DHCP on the Jitsi so that their client auto configures. Is it possible to automate this ? (maybe a msi option or switch on the exe?)

We are using the Windows version.

Regards,

Daniel

There is no standardized way yet.
If you are using the nightlies, you can deploy a file named
jitsi-defaults.properties into the installation directory. Properties
defined in there are read by all users, so you could deploy the option to
enable DHCP provisioning in there.

As a matter of fact, if you use jitsi-defaults.properties you can also
directly setup the provisioning URL and skip DHCP entirely.
