I think I may have found a bug in Jitsi. I'm running a nightly
(2.5.5296) on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. I have Jitsi configured
with 7 SIP accounts and 3 XMPP accounts. The issue I'm reporting also
exists in the 2.4 "stable" version.
When I go to Tools->Options I see that the "primary' SIP account has no
number at the bottom right of the little SIP symbol but subsequent lines
are "numbered" with a number at the bottom right of the SIP symbol. I'm
guessing that this is showing that there is a "primary" SIP account (the
first one created) and all subsequent SIP accounts are "secondary" and
are numbered 2 through X (where X is the total number of lines). I see
this also holds true for the XMPP accounts.
Now on to the problem... When I manually type in a number to call I'm
presented with a menu of the available accounts that I can use to call
the number. This feature operates as it should for both SIP and XMPP.
But when I try to "Add a Contact" to a particular SIP account only the
""secondary" SIP accounts are listed to add the contact to. In other
words the "primary" account is missing from the list of available
accounts. So currently there is no way to add a contact to the first SIP
account created in Jitsi. This behavior is not indicated when XMPP is
selected to add an account. The XMPP "Add a Contact" is functioning
properly on both the nightly as well as the stable.
I would guess there is a problem with the pointer that keeps track of
what SIP accounts are available for adding contacts.
P.S. I've also tested this behavior with the Android version of Jitsi
and it behaves the way it's supposed to. I don't have the facilities to
test this issue under other OS platforms.
