[jitsi-dev] Norwegian .po language file

#1

Hello,

I would like to create .properties file for Norwegian language (Bokmal and
Nynorsk). So I visited http://translate.jitsi.org and I find out that there
is no .po files for Jitsi. There are only .po files in Terminology
directory which can not be used to create required .properties files using
po2prop tool. Can anyone help me ?

Best regards,
Lucas

The .properties file is automatically created by Pootle and the terminology project is not used. I can open the Norwegian language project in our Pootle so you could start translating it - however I'm not sure which one you'd need: Norwegian Bokmal (nb) or Norwegian Nynorsk (nn)?

Best regards,

If you could help me, I would be very pleased. I need both of them - Bokmal
and Nynorsk. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for creating those files. It is a pity that those files are not
translated... I would make it, but I do not know Norwegian at all. But
thanks!

Obviously they're not translated, otherwise they'd already have been there. I thought you wanted to create those translations...

I see  I wanted only to get appropriate .po files which can be used to
generate .properties files. Those one which are on
http://translate.jitsi.org in gnome folder can not be used to this
operation, but their are partly translated. I thought that the only matter
is to convert those files. Unfortunately, I see there is a need to
translate them

PS. I would like also kindly ask our Norwegian colleagues associated with
Jitsi community to help make those translations  Thanks in advance!
