[jitsi-dev] No show on Fedora 15

#1

When running today's checkout of SVN (also available on ) with
bradford:build $ java -version
java version "1.6.0_22"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.10.2) (fedora-58.1.10.2.fc15-x86_64)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.0-b11, mixed mode)

I get this backtrace on startup and no window ever shows up

bradford:build $ jitsi
00:45:18.247 SEVERE: util.UtilActivator.uncaughtException().88 An uncaught exception occurred in thread=Thread[JavaSound PushThread,5,system] and message was: null
java.lang.NullPointerException
  at com.sun.media.protocol.javasound.PushThread.process(JavaSoundSourceStream.java:790)
  at com.sun.media.util.LoopThread.run(LoopThread.java:135)

What's wrong?

with incomplete success.

We usually recommend Sun/Oracle's JRE over OpenJDK. I'm not sure it's
really the problem here but I'm just mentioning it anyway.

PortAudio is the preferred audio system for Jitsi, JavaSound is not
actively tested and maintained (for example, we do not support echo
cancellation with JavaSound).
