[jitsi-dev] Nightly deltas for Jitsi on Windows?

#1

When I updated my Jitsi on Windows to 4879 and then to 4880, the full
setup .exe was downloaded instead of the respective delta. What's up
with the nightly deltas?

#2

Hi,

strange the deltas are there on the download location:
jitsi/nightly/windows/jitsi-2.3.4880-delta-4879-x64.exe
jitsi/nightly/windows/jitsi-2.3.4880-delta-4879-x86.exe

The problem is within the implementation of setup.exe. I will fix it.

IIRC we fall back to a regular download if we fail to apply to patch
so maybe there's something wrong with the deltas themselves?

All I can say for now is that there is/are a failed build/s between those two, so there is some disturbance in the force, but can't tell what exactly. Mac was OK in that matter. It must be in the deltas themselves as Emil says. The failed builds are due to failed Unit Tests. We have to see if this kind of delta breaking happens every time when the build fails due to Unit Tests.

The deltas to 4881 and 4882 worked fine. I'm sorry I cried wolf.

#7

Well that shouldn't be happening so there is indeed a wolf (even if it
feels more like a puppy).

Pavel could you please investigate?

Thanks,
Emil
