I tried setting up a headless server that boots with no human intervention,
but am having problems. Computer is single boot.
1) Installed Linux Mint 13 Mate and told it to boot with no password.
Problem is that a GRUB menu pops up and needs human intervention
to get past this.
Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu.
2) An Ubuntu server install also required intervention because it
wanted name and password when booting.
Can anyone help me to achieve boot-up without GRUB menu or name
I am aware that a GUI install has less security than a server install,
but a GUI interface is much easier for me, and I can uninstall
programs and daemons that are not necessary.
