I would also be interested in this.
Here's the html I used:
I didn't have anything happen when I clicked on the link. (Tested using
Firefox 21, Windows 7, Jitsi 2.3.4685.9783)
The XMPP wiki page suggests adding a string to the Firefox about:config
I tried adding the "network.protocol-handler.app.xmpp" as the preference
""C:\Program Files\Jitsi\Jitsi.exe"" as the application to run.
Since I still wasn't having any luck I tried editing the Windows
registry as suggested on the same web page:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
@="C:\Program Files\Jitsi\Jitsi.exe %l"
Still no luck.

Hi, I am trying to embed contact links into an email/web page that
will initiate videocalls over xmpp via jitsi.
Using a simple jistsi.exe xmpp:email@example.com I can initiate a
chat with someone in my address book.
However I can find no information online, regarding the syntax &
formatting or the [uri-to-call] with regard to jitsi.
I have tried uri examples from http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5122 but
to no avail.
Could anyone please point me in the right direction.
