[jitsi-dev] Lync Screen Sharing in Jitsi

#1

Hi,

We need to implement support for screen sharing with MS Lync 2010 and 2013
where RDP is used.

Plans are to use JNI and bind to freerdp library as done in the port of
FreeRDP to Android. See [1]

Comments? Plausible/Not plausible?

Regards,
Niklas

#2

Does this mean that Jitsi can already do MS Lync audio calls?

At least our fork/branch does. Software is derived from Jitsi.

This is interesting to me. Where is your fork?

Unfortunately it is an internal project. :frowning: I hope we can contribute back
in the future.

It would be extremely valuable.

My day job is actually helping companies (especially my current
employer) work out how to open source and release internal projects,
especially forks of existing open source projects.

May I help out with this?

Maybe you could just summarize the list of changes you needed to make on
the SIP stack in order to have a call with Lync?

I assume this would be interesting for many here.
