[jitsi-dev] kickout problem

#1

Hi, Developers,

Thanks you all for the great work and I am really enjoy the Jitsi.

I have one problem is when I set max_user_sessions to 1 for ejabberd XMPP
server, and use Jitsi to login with one account form two device, they will
try kick other out for every 5 seconds.

For example I use account 'user@mydomain.com' login from computer A, and
login with same account 'user@mydomain.com' form computer B, then computer
A will be offline. and after 5 seconds the computer B will online and A is
offline. and other 5 seconds computer B is online and A is offline. there
will be a loop for each computer online and offline.

I ask the ejabberd developer, they say the ejabberd server will sent
message to let client know the client is been kickout because other people
try use this account login form other device.

please some one can tell me how do I prevent account auto login when they
are offline ?

And I want confirm is this a Jitsi bug ? If it is I will like to report it
or other people can report it for me.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

not sure what is the message sent from ejjaberd to logout the client,
but it is detected as server disconnect and is scheduled for
reconnection and while this happens on both sides it keeps
disconnecting and reconnecting.
The solution you can try is on the side which you do not want to be
online just click Offline and this will stop the reconnection of the
account.

Thanks for you response.

The ejabberd guys say the message is use XMPP protocol.

the solution is working but some times you forget it and you are out try
login by phone, you will not able to make it working because Jitsi will
try auto reconnection.

There should be a option to disable auto reconnection, or take the XMPP
protocol kick out message.

Kind Regards
