Is there a way to connect multiple JVB instances to serve a bigger

Yes, there is! have a look at this: https://github.com/jitsi/jicofo/blob/master/doc/load_balancing.md You can have multiple video bridges and jicofo will balance the rooms between them.

If what you want is to create really large conferences, we are currently working on making that happen, maybe Boris can give you some more details.

Cheers,

I want to create really large conferences. Really appreciated that you're
working on making that happen. Do you guys have a timeline or more details?
Thanks.

We now have many of the parts that we need for this in jitsi-videobridge and jicofo. We are currently experimenting and fixing issues that arise, and working on the remaining parts. I don't have a precise timeline.

Regards,
Boris
