What’s that option exactly doing ? Is Its status supposed to be disabled by default ?

Hello Jack,
This option enables simulcast in meet. You may enable it, if you want,
but it definitely isn't necessary. So, the fact that meet didn't work
with the option disabled was a bug. I just committed a fix. Could you
please test it and let us know if it works for you?
