[jitsi-dev] Jitsi rejecting call with BYE packet

#1

Hi everybody,
I'm using jitsi on desktop and csipsimple in mobile phones, but cannot get them to work together. As far as i can see on the logs, jitsi hangs up complaining about an error parsing the SDP description sent by the csipsimple package. Both jitsi and csipsimple work with other different clients.

Attached is the log produced by jitsi.

Is there anything that I should configure on any of the clients to correct this?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, i'm new here.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know SipDroid, but you might try to enable/disable video there.
Jitsi sends an INVITE to SipDroid and gets a reply containing "m=video 0
<unknown media type> media type>" instead of something like "m=video 5002
RTP/AVP 105 99". Obviously Jitsi doesn't know what to do with this garbage
and fails.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, i'm new here.

This is absolutely the right place here.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Ingo

Thanks Ingo for your quick response.

Will write about this.

I use csipsimple because its currently the only working client with
encryption that i found (at least usable).

Oh, there's another one that is right around the corner.

Encryption already works with Jitsi for Android.

Also, the latest demos that I saw show that the contact list and
messaging are right around the corner (note that these are not committed
yet). The July release date is more realistic than ever.

Cheers,
Emil
