Hi all,
I am sorry but I must tell that Jitsi is not usable for me.
Recently I decided to go for a replacement for Twinkle and have
chosen Jitsi for this. I am running Kubuntu 11.04 x64 and installed
the Jitsi package 1.0 beta1 build 3820. I am running it against a
local asterisk 1.4.36. I discovered the following situations where
some of the issues basically make Jitsi unusable for me:
1. Outgoing call: OK
2. Incoming calls are signalled. When accepting, the window opens but
nothing happens!
Only when I press the video button it connects to the call. The
caller tells that the line is
dead during this period. I have tried all combination and have video
switched off.
3. Calls are not closed when the caller drops the line! Window has to
be manually closed.
4. Conferencing also does not work properly. Maybe because of the above
issues. As I switched
back to Twinkle I have not tested this more detailed again. I can if
needed.
All of the above issues do not happen with Twinkle.
Thanks a lot and best regards,
Buddy
Hi all,
this was no joke and I am sorry for it as I would like to use Jitsi.
Any Ideas why this happens?
Cheers,
Buddy
