[jitsi-dev] Jitsi-meet translation after main.json modification

#1

Hi Hristo, Ingo,

How should we proceed when some keys are modified main.json file ? I
see that in translate.jitsi.org there is Template language, but I can
not access it. Does it contain all keys ?

Regards,
Pawel

http://translate.jitsi.org/templates/jitsi-meet/ -> "Update all from VCS"

If you cannot access this page, you don't have the required permissions yet. Ping me to give them to you.

After this is done, every language must be updated against the templates:
http://translate.jitsi.org/projects/jitsi-meet/admin.html

Select "Update against templates" for all languages EXCEPT the templates and the dropdown with the dashes, then click save (and have patience).

The template language itself must never be modified in Pootle, it is based on the lang/*.json files in Git.

Pawel

Hi Pawel,

I think you should commit the changes to git. Then in Pootle you must enter Templates and click update from version control or something like that. Then if you want to translate something for specific language you should enter in that language and then click update from templates. That will update the keys for that language.

Hristo
