[jitsi-dev] [jitsi-meet] Toggle Audio doesn't work in firefox

#1

Hey,

Thanks for firefox support! Just found one bug. APP.RTC.localAudio is
null there, as a result toggleAudio and AudioLevels do not work.

Regards,
Zalmoxisus

Hello Zalmoxisus,

Thank you for testing the new FF support! There's indeed a problem with
APP.RTC.localAudio. Currently FF doesn't support media stream
constructors so we can't split the stream in an audio stream and a video
stream and perform the same handling we do in Chrome. We'll have to
either obtain two separate streams with getUserMedia right from the
beginning, or handle the toggleAudio and AudioLevels differently in FF.
I'm not sure yet what's the best way to do this. Could you please open
an issue on GH for this so that we can track this? Thanks!

Regards,
George
