[jitsi-dev] Jitsi-meet screen sharing not switching

#1

I am having a problem with the desktop sharing stream not invoking. The video and audio work flawlessly and we are impressed. The extension has been published via chrome store and its working. When the screen share window comes up and I select a screen, nothing happens...

The syslogs and prosody logs don't indicate anything apparent. I been trying to solve this for a couple days and I can't figure out why. This is a new install on Ubuntu 14.04 x32. I am testing it behind my firewall so open ports should not be a problem. All servers have been installed, and setup as indicated. I tried the respository method of installing and it fails on jitsi-meet -configure so I had to revert to manual install. I have learned a lot and your product has a great design. I been through all my settings many times and I would appreciate assistance. I have also taken meticulous notes and I believe I can help publish some more details to aid others if that is an option?

We are willing to pay for assistance.

Thank you,

Hi Cameron,

Can you check in the JavaScript Console and see if you get any JavaScript errors when you share your screen/window? Also, from my experience, sometimes it takes a few moments for the remote screen to appear.

The syslogs and prosody logs don’t indicate anything apparent. I been trying to solve this for a couple days and I can’t figure out why. This is a new install on Ubuntu 14.04 x32. I personally think the jidesha/README.md could use some love.

Best regards,
George
