[jitsi-dev] Jitsi-Meet : Prosody with LDAP authentication

#1

Hello,

I'm trying to set up an LDAP authentication with prosody. I couldn't find
any well-guided documentation on the Internet.

I'd be extremely grateful if someone could give me more information about
connecting prosody to an LDAP server.

Regards.

Hi,

I've written some
http://booting-rpi.blogspot.de/2015/09/using-ldap-authentication-with-jitsi.html
Should be pretty simple.

Best,
Stan

Hello Stan,

Thank you for your response. I actually tried this one but it doesn't work
for me. I have the following error in */var/log/prosody/prosody.err* :
Apr 01 13:42:34 my-jitsi-server:auth_ldap2 error LDAP configuration
required to use the LDAP storage module

do you know what configuration they're talking about ? I followed the
tutorial step by step.

Regards,

Hi Hamza,

have you copied storage modules? make they both exist.

···

##########################################
meet:~# ls -l /usr/lib/prosody/modules/ldap
total 8
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5035 Apr 15 2015 vcard.lib.lua
meet:~# ls -l /usr/lib/prosody/modules/mod_storage_ldap.lua
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4728 Apr 15 2015
/usr/lib/prosody/modules/mod_storage_ldap.lua
##########################################

try to login with normal jabber client (e.g. pidgin) like
"ldap.user@your.jitsi-meet.domain", if it doesn't work - look in
prosody.log (you may enable debug output in prosody.cfg.lua)
you use prosody 0.9.*, don't you?

Best,
Stan
