Did some more testing and now the results are very interesting...
Recap
While the VUC[0] was on air, I attempted to call the conference via my
onsip.com SIP account and my sip2sip.info account but both calls failed.
In
the previous letter[1] to the group, I provided a log from Jitsi as well
as
the pcap of the attempted call and the sip2sip.info log.
New Updates
Since the conference is off air, I'm getting different results for both
accounts tested previously. When calling the same sip URI:
200901@login.zipdx.com. I'm connected, advised the conference is not
active,
hold music plays, and occasionally a message comes on telling me the
conference is still not active. After a few minutes, the call disconnects
by
zipdx.
Further Testing
Since I have a zipdx.com account, I created a spontaneous meeting from my
Polycom deskphone and then called the sip URI from Jitsi and was brought
into the conference without any issues.
I also setup an extension within my onsip account to call my zipdx.com
meeting number and I'm connected.
Example:
SIP URI at onsip: jitsi@jitsi.org
zipdx meeting code: 201404@login.zipdx.com
Place a call from a SIP account on jitsi to jitsi@jitsi.org and this has
an
external SIP address of 201404@login.zipdx.com
AFAIK, this is exactly how Randy setup the VUC hosting with onsip and
zipdx.
Outstanding question still remains: Can anybody dial
vuc@vuc.me from a SIP account and be brought into the conference while the
meeting is occurring? the VUC is live every Friday at 12 Noon Eastern time
so please try this a week from today.
Thanks,
Jungle

BTW, tried all above on Jitsi 2.5.5192
Reminder:
The VUC will be live tomorrow at noon Eastern / 9am Pacific
Please try to call in on Jitsi
