[jitsi-dev] Jitsi as a webphone

#1

Hi,

As Jitsi is developped with Java language, the only possibility to use it as
a webphone (embedded in a web page) is to convert it as an applet.

I have got the information that the code have to be signed as it uses native
libraries from the IRC discussion channel.

I want to know from the community if Jitsi is being used as a webphone and
any feedback about that topic is important.

Also, a commercial webphone based on Jitsi is welcome.

Thank you.

Wow! Great idea!

This would really help the cross-platform side, and would allow users
that don't have install access to use Jitsi. It's also portable, and
would probably be a better solution than making a PortableApp, which
is Windows-only.

I'd like this feature, and if there was a feature request on the
tracker, I'd vote for it.

I hope it's possible.

James.
