Hi All,
I am really struggling with getting Jitsi 2.0 video conferencing to actually work in any usable way.
Here are the scenarios I've tried:
1. Freeswitch video conference with multiple Jitsi 2.0 clients - Works OK, but only single video window, swapping between the active speaker. Proves all members webcams are working through Jitsi, but not what we are looking for.
2. Multi-party SIP conference call started in Jitsi (Tools -> Options -> Create conference call) - sort of works, but usually the last person to be invited cannot be seen by all members (their screen is just greyed out on everyone elses clients).
3. Using the jit.si video bridge functionality (Tools -> Options -> Create video bridge) - again, sort of works, but has similar issues to the SIP conference, only some members can be seen, usually the last to join has the problem.
We are using Windows 7 and Windows 8, and everything else in Jitsi seems to be fine.
What could I doing wrong, as I don't see how this could have been released in the state I am experiencing it in?
Thanks
Tom
Hi,
I would really appreciate some help with this problem, as I am at a loss.
I've narrowed down the tests to the following scenarios:
Two windows 7 32bit PCs running Jitsi 2.0.4506.10553.
Both registered to Freeswitch 1.2.3 with H264 enabled.
Both Jitsi client video cameras work and are correctly encoding video through Freeswitch when using the echo test (i.e you can see yourself both in the remote and local screens).
I've given up with multi-party conferencing now, and just tried a direct video call to a single recipient.
This exhibits the same problems as multi-party chat, i.e the remote party cannot see my video if I initiate the call.
Also, we are still seeing the issue of the local screen jumping to the right hand side again.
I've also ruled out Freeswitch by trying the jit.si service, and we are seeing the same issue.
Thanks
Tom

Please try toggling fullscreen and report whether it fixes the display
of the video(s).
Hi,
Thanks for replying.
I am unable to enter full screen mode, clicking the button does nothing.
Is it worth mentioning both clients are running in single window mode.
Thanks

Hi,
I've tried with single window mode turned off, and I can go full screen, however it still exhibits the same problem.
When I tried to add a 3rd person Jitsi crashed hard with "oops jitsi has crashed do you want to restart".
Thanks

.
Well, full screen is not supported in single window mode.
Could you please then try toggling the display of the local video i.e.
do not stop the local video, hide/show it while the local video is
being streamed.

Please send us the logs as described at https://jitsi.org/Documentation/FAQ#logs
