[jitsi-dev] Jigasi installation problems

#1

Hi!

I'm trying to install/run Jigasi. I did it many times before it was
mavenized but now I have some problems.

I run 'ant make' and it shows:

BUILD FAILED
/opt/test/jigasi/build.xml:39: Problem: failed to create task or type
antlib:org.apache.maven.artifact.ant:dependencies
Cause: The name is undefined.
Action: Check the spelling.
Action: Check that any custom tasks/types have been declared.
Action: Check that any <presetdef>/<macrodef> declarations have taken place.
No types or tasks have been defined in this namespace yet

This appears to be an antlib declaration.
Action: Check that the implementing library exists in one of:
        -/usr/share/ant/lib
        -/root/.ant/lib
        -a directory added on the command line with the -lib argument

I put:

<path id="maven-ant-tasks.classpath" path="lib/maven-ant-tasks-2.1.3.jar" />
<typedef resource="org/apache/maven/artifact/ant/antlib.xml"
    uri="antlib:org.apache.maven.artifact.ant"
    classpathref="maven-ant-tasks.classpath" />

in build.xml I downloaded maven-ant-tasks-2.1.3.jar in jigasi/lib. I put my
configs in sip-communicator.properties.
After that I can run ant make.

When I try to run ./jigasi.sh with the parametres like before it shows this
error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:

        at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredMethods0(Native Method)

In th file
https://github.com/jitsi/jigasi/blob/master/src/main/java/org/jitsi/jigasi/xmpp/CallControlComponent.java
...
import org.xmpp.component.*;
...
public class CallControlComponent
    extends ComponentBase
....

but the file org/jitsi/xmpp/component/ComponentBase.java is in Jitsi, not
in Jigasi.

Thanks,

Sadiel.

Hi,

Yes this is a maven dependency from jitsi, which we used to copy by
hand and now its automatically downloaded from a maven repo.

You can check the beginning of the build.xml for instructions.

Currently to creat the deb package you need:
ant deb -lib /home/damencho/.m2/repository/org/apache/maven/maven-ant-tasks/2.1.3

Before running from the script you need for sure to execute the task
copy-runtime-dependencies-from-maven. You can also give a try the ant
run target with passing arguments ...

Hope this helps
